Sovereign Prince Update:

The October 27th Degree class was a true success! I'd like to take the first few sentences of the first Giles F. Yates Council electronic update to thank all of the workers who spent so much time diligently preparing for the performance of the 16º last month. Its performances like that that make me proud to call myself your Sovereign Prince.

We have a One Day Class in Lexington coming up on February 9 that we will be preparing for starting in mid-January. I am excited to be able to put on the 15º for this reunion, and most especially, for a new slate of Scottish Rite candidates.

Lastly, but certainly not least, I hope each and every one of you, whether you work with Giles F. Yates Council directly or not, has a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. This is the perfect time of year to reflect upon the things that we are most thankful for, and I assure each of you that I am thankful for each and every one of you. It is your participation in Scottish Rite Freemasonry with the Valley of Boston that has made the experience serving of presiding over an organization like this incredibly worthwhile.

Fraternally,

Richard T. Austin
Sovereign Prince

Family Life Update:

Did you purchase ticketsto go see Dr. Seuss' "How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical" through the Family Life Committee? On December 1, 2012, we will be attending the 2:00pm performance of the Grinch at the Citi-Performing Arts Center, formerly the Wang Theatre.

The cut-off date to purchase tickets for this event was on November 10.

If you ordered your tickets before the deadline, this is a friendly reminder that you are welcome to join us at Grand Lodge for lunch prior to the show that afternoon. We will be enjoying a banquet lunch of hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, rolls, holiday-themed desserts, ice cream, and beverages.

Lunch will be served in the Grand Master's Ballroom in the sub-basement of Grand Lodge from 11:30am until 1:00pm.

If you have any remaining questions about this event, contact the Family Life Chairman, Merrill Rosenberg by phone at 781.389.3284 or by e-mail here.

Can You Identify This Man?

We received a number of great photos of our Degree Workers in their full costumes with make-up from one of our photographers shortly after the most recent Degree Class in October. We've decided to have a little fun with these and make a game out of it!

Can you identify the man pictured on the left? The answer will be provided in next month's Princes Update!

We have such a wonderful production and make-up crew that affords us the ability to pull off these Degrees as professionally as possible. Going through some of these pictures, we feel you might just have a hard time identifying some of these brethren because of the quality of work our make-up artists provide.

This is just another way we are able to truly appreciate the work they do on behalf of the Valley; sharing their work with each of you like this is something we are happy to be able to do.
