Most Wise Master's Update:

On behalf of the Most Wise Master, Philip A. Drouin (pictured left), the webmaster has composed this update for the members of the Valley.

I hope each of you have re-charged your batteries for a happy and healthy 2013, like each of the presiding officers urged for last week.

There is a lot of work ahead for the degree workers and officers in the next several weeks. If you are participating in the degrees for the next class, please be sure to submit your electronic response for the Boston office as soon as possible. The dates for the rehearsals are included on the cards and can also be found on the calendar for the Rose Croix workers.

Being prepared to put on a production is only half of the battle when we host a degree class. The second, and far more important part of the process is going out and recruiting new Scottish Rite members! Saturday, February 9th will be a special day for our Most Wise Master, as his son, Philip, will be taking the degrees of the Rite. He has taken the initiative to share the gift of the Scottish Rite with him not just as father and son, but as brother and brother.

Won't you take the time to share the gift of brotherhood in Scottish Rite with another one of your Masonic brothers? Now is the time to act! Grab some applications to distribute from the download page of our website. The degree day is fast approaching, and I know the officers of the Valley cannot wait to welcome a new class of great men into their ranks. More information about the class can be found below.

Fraternally,

Christopher D. Rooney

Dues Payments & Membership Cards:

We have begun to receive an influx of dues payments from each of our dedicated members. First and foremost, thank you for continuing to keep Scottish Rite as an important part of your lives along with us.

We have received several inquiries about the 2013 membership cards not being sent out. The Northern Masonic Jurisdiction has implemented a permanent membership card. You can learn more information about this in this article on our website. If you previously received one of these cards in the mail, this is your dues card for 2013 and beyond. If you did not receive one, or you believe that you may have misplaced it, contact the Valley office.

Any questions regarding the balance of your dues can be directed to the Secretary of the Valley of Boston.

Saturday, February 9th Degree Class

In February of 1945, the United States Marines landed on the island of Iwo Jima to help further the cause of liberty in ending World War II. On February 9, 2013, the Valley of Boston will honor one of our heroes and a veteran of the Iwo Jima campaign by naming the one day class in honor of Bro. and Ill∴ Robert Johnston, 33º, DSA.

We are asking that the members of this Valley go back to their lodges and ask non-Scottish Rite Masons to consider this class an ideal time to join the Valley of Boston. Now is the time to act! We always talk about...
