Commander's Update

I would like to congratulate our newest 32nd degree Sublime Princes who received their Valley of Boston degrees on March 2. I would also like to challenge you to sponsor a friend as a candidate for the Valley of Boston Grand Master's class to be held on November 2 this fall. At this class to honor our Grand Master, Massachusetts Consistory will be performing the 29th degree also known as the Knight of St. Andrew. This would be a great opportunity for you and a friend to check off one of your passport requirements (note: the last time the 29th degree was performed was in 2006!).

Massachusetts Consistory is performing many degrees on the road in the coming weeks! Here's where we are headed:

On Monday, April 1, Consistory will be performing the Lincoln play (which used to be the 26th degree until it was recently retired) at the Weary Travelers Club at 77 Valley Bars Road in Bourne. This is in response to a request from Jayme Baker, the Master of Marine Lodge in Falmouth, to provide some entertainment at a function for his lodge. The evening will begin at 6:00 pm and a dinner will be served. If you and your Lady are interested in attending, please contact the Valley of Boston office at 617-426-8228.

On Saturday, April 20, Consistory will be traveling to the Valley of Lowell to perform the 20th degree (known as the Washington degree) and the 32nd degree. The day will begin at 10 am and will end after lunch. It has been quite some time since Consistory has visited Lowell, and as a result, I am really looking forward to this day. It is also another great opportunity to check off the 20th degree in your passport. If you would like to join us and the Valley of Lowell, please make your reservation with the Valley of Boston office at 617-426-8228.

I look forward to greeting you at one of these upcoming special events.

Fraternally,

Scott D. Inglis

Commander-in-Chief

Paschal Lamb Observance:

Mount Olivet Chapter of Rose Croix will present in public a symbolic celrbation of the Feast of the Paschal Lamb on Palm Sunday, which is tomorrow, Sunday, March 24, 2013 at the Boston Masonic Building. The observance will be held in Gothic Hall at 4:00pm.

The Feast of the Paschal Lamb is a memorial service, honoring our Brethren who have passed to their eternal reward during the past three years. In spirit, we seem to sense their presence at the Mystic Banquet as we seek to strengthen the ties of brotherly love, which bind our hearts in holy remembrance.

This celebration will be open to all members of the Fraternity, their families, and their friends. Knights of Rose Croix are respectfully reminded that this is a ceremony of obligation. It is particularly hoped that not only will many members of Mount Olivet Chapter be present, but that they will extend a cordial invitation to others, whether Masons or not, especially the families of past members to witness this solemn ceremony.
