Knights of St. Andrew
Dear Sublime Princes:
It is my great pleasure to announce that on June 23, 2013, Massachusetts Consistory will be launching the Massachusetts Chapter, Knights of St. Andrew in the Valley of Boston. The Knights of St. Andrew is not a Scottish Rite Body, but rather a service and social organization which provides a means of participation in the Rite for those who don’t wish to act in the degrees or serve in a line of officers. By offering service to the Valley during reunions and esprit de corps amongst Valley members through monthly social events, the Knights of St. Andrew will strengthen not only our Valley’s coordinate Bodies, but the bonds we share as brethren in the Scottish Rite.
All meetings of the Knights of St. Andrew are open to Scottish Rite members who wish to know more before joining, Master Masons, family and friends. This includes the initiation ceremonies. Membership is limited to 32º Sublime Princes only. There are no honorary members, and if a brother is honored with the MSA or 33º, he becomes an Emeritus member with no vote. This is an organization for the membership, by the membership, to lead themselves.
Our Inaugural Banquet of Bannockburn will be held on Sunday, June 23rd, 2013 at the Grand Lodge building at 186 Tremont Street, Boston. The event will begin with a brief initiation ceremony in Corinthian Hall for our first class of candidates, followed by a social period and banquet in the Grand Master’s dining room. Significant others are most welcome.
In honor of this historic inaugural event, the Commander-in-Chief of Massachusetts Consistory, Bro. Scott D. Inglis, 32º, is offering free membership to the first class of candidates and admission to the banquet. But, space is limited. If you are interested in dedicating yourself to serving the Valley of Boston and fostering true Brotherhood in the Scottish Rite, please RSVP to me at VM@ScottishRiteBoston.org.
I encourage all of you who have been seeking a more fulfilling experience in the Scottish Rite to join us in the new Massachusetts Chapter of the Knights of St. Andrew.
With my warmest fraternal regards,
V∴ Bro. Jerry A. Roach, Jr., 32º
Venerable Master 2013
