Rest and Refreshment

Most Wise Master's Update:

In the Master Mason Degree, we know that the weary companion stops to rest and refresh himself before he passes on.  He does  this in the midst of a very important job.  Upon completing his brief rest, he rises; all senses keenly aware, he makes a huge discovery that finds a solution to his problem.

During this summer, I would ask you all to rest and refresh yourself from the heavy Masonic workload that many of you carry for 10 months a year.  It's important to take a good break, both physically and mentally.

But I also ask you to come back strong in September. The Valley has many needs to be filled: degree work, committees, et cetera. Most importantly we need your senses keenly aware as we search for candidates in the Valley of Boston.  Our Grand Master's Class to be held on November 2, 2013 seems a long time away now, but we all need to be thinking of who would make good candidates.  They just don't appear. We need all officers and members alike to work diligently to make this class a true success.  We look forward to your assistance.  Enjoy the balance of your summer.

Fraternally,

Philip A. Drouin

Valley Hires New Talent

Starting on July 16th, the Valley has had the pleasure of an intern for web services and office assistance.

Justin T. Cargill, a DeMolay member from Benjamin Franklin Chapter in Grafton, MA, has been and will be under the tutelage of the Secretary and the Webmaster for the remainder of the summer.

Cargill is a 2012 graduate of Grafton High School, and is studying Business Administration at Quinsigamond Community College which he will be graduating from in 2014.

The content you see in these newsletters and on our website will largely be his creation between now and September. I'm just as excited for the opportunity to teach him as he is ready for the opportunity to learn and to grow.

Cargill is currently...
