Notice to the Brotherhood

We have been advertising the Grand Master’s one day class on November 2, 2013, in the Valley of Boston for quite some time now. I’d like to remind the Brotherhood of the incentives and benefits to them to help our Supreme Council celebrate its 200th anniversary.

Until December 31st of this year, there are a number of incentives for each of you to encourage Master Masons to join the Scottish Rite in this anniversary year.

First, for all new initiates, there is a special 200th anniversary pocket jewel to be given to all candidates receiving the 32nd degree in the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction in the period from Jan 1, 2012 thru December 31, 2013. Extra pocket jewels will be available to any 32Ëš Scottish Rite Mason at a cost of $25 each.

For our members there are a variety of incentives to sponsor new members.

Incentive “A” is a Valley level Member incentive rewarding the top two 1st Line Signers of every Valley.

Incentive “B” is a Jurisdiction wide Member incentive for eligible 1st Line Signers for the two year period.

In addition, the Valley of Boston will award to a winner from our Valley, a chauffeured limousine to take him and his guest to and from the airport and a night’s stay in the airport hotel.

The real reward for any member sponsoring a candidate will be the benefit which the candidate will derive from membership in Scottish Rite and that will be your reward for admitting him into the Rite. It doesn’t hurt to put a little icing on the cake, especially when it's a 200th birthday cake.

Fraternally,

Grand Master's Class: 200 Years, 200 Brothers

It is the desire of the 200th Anniversary Committee to see that all Valleys celebrate the anniversary in a manner appropriate for their Valley. To celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction of The Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, and to honor Most Worshipful Richard James Stewart's term as Grand Master, the Presiding Officers of the Valley of Boston cordially invite you to a special one-day class in his honor!

This one-day class will take place on Saturday, November 2, 2013 in Gothic Hall at the Boston Masonic building, 186 Tremont Street, Boston, Massachusetts. For your convenience parking validation, a buffet breakfast, and lunch will be provided.

The Valley of Boston has set an attainable goal of 200 new brothers for the upcoming class. The goal for this class is to have a brother join for each year of existence, 200 brothers for 200 years. Share the light and help someone you know unlock the journey into Scottish Rite Freemasonry!

19th Annual Teddy Bear Classic

A great day! A great crowd! A great cause!

"The 19th Teddy Bear Classic to support the J. Philip Berquist Children’s Dyslexia Center for Greater Boston was held on Monday, July 22nd at The Glen Ellen Country Club in Millis. With 22 teams on the course for a “shot-gun start” promptly at 10:45am and the weather near perfect for heat and humidity, the Masons and their guests set out for the challenge and camaraderie of a low score, potential for at least one “hole-in-one”, longest-drive, closest-to-the-pin and those gentle reminders that “we are a fraternity, not a business” and that “this is a fundraiser, not a trophy game.”
