Grand Master's Membership Class

It is the desire of the 200th Anniversary Committee to see that all Valleys celebrate the anniversary in a manner appropriate for their Valley. To celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction of The Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, and to honor Most Worshipful Richard James Stewart's term as Grand Master, the Presiding Officers of the Valley of Boston cordially invite you to a special one-day class in his honor!

This one-day class will take place on Saturday, November 2, 2013 in Gothic Hall at the Boston Masonic building, 186 Tremont Street, Boston, Massachusetts. For your convenience, parking validation, a buffet breakfast, and lunch will be provided.

The time is right to get a brother to join the Rite. Simply download the fillable application, send it to a brother, and encourage him to join you at the class. There's plenty of ways to involved in the Valley, which we will be outlining in the coming weeks. If one of your lodge brothers is interested in joining, he can choose his mode of payment and return it to the Boston office before October 25, 2013.

200 Years, 200 Brothers

A goal of the Supreme Council and the 200th Anniversary Committee is to assist all Valleys with their membership growth. In support of these efforts, the Valley of Boston has set an attainable goal of 200 new brothers for the upcoming Grand Master's Membership Class. The Valley of Boston's goal for this class is to have a brother join for each year of existence, 200 brothers for 200 years! Until December 31st of this year, there are a number of incentives for each of you to encourage Master Masons to join the Scottish Rite in this anniversary year.

First, for all new candidates joining, there is a brand new Massachusetts Consistory jewel in honor of Most Worshipful Richard James Stewart, Grand Master of Masons in Massachusetts. The Grand Master's Class on November 2nd is your ONLY opportunity to be presented this jewel.

Notice of Meetings Set To Arrive

Keep an eye out for this fall's notice of Valley meetings. Featuring our Grand Master on the front in honor of his class this November, there are also some accompanying inserts to be on the lookout for as it arrives within the next week.

The degrees being performed in November are the 9th, 16th, 18th, 29th, and 32nd. We will also see our newly coronetted 33º members receive their pocket jewels that day.

Don't forget about our annual meeting taking place on Saturday, October 1st at the Doric Hall in Boston, where  the reports of the Treasurer, Secretary, various committees, and the election of the Valley's trustees will take place.

We look forward to having you in November at the class, and encourage you to ask a blue lodge brother to go Scottish Rite this fall!
